About Us

Our goal here at Canyon Edge is to provide healthy puppies that have incredible temperaments for every family’s needs. Whether that’s a companion, family dog, service dog, therapy dog, emotional support animal, or a sporting dog, we will help you find exactly what you’re looking for and help match you with the puppy that is the best fit for you!

All our breeding dogs are fully health tested. They all have a full Golden Retriever genetic panel, OFA hips, elbows, cardiac, eyes, and patella as well as an additional hip testing called PennHIP. We have extremely high standards when it comes to health testing and will only breed a dog that has better than average health testing for the breed. 

We are members of the GRCA and we are part of the Bred With H.E.A.R.T. program. We title all our dogs and are constantly working towards earning more titles with our dogs to prove their biddability, temperament, drive, structure and overall betterment of the breed.

Our puppies are raised in our home with Puppy Culture curriculum, Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction. 

When our puppies are 7 weeks old, we do Volhard Temperament Evaluations. This helps us to match puppies to families based on their individual temperaments, drive, working ability, etc. We think temperament is one of the most important things to consider when bringing home a new puppy!
